Weird Animal Series by Benedikt Hummel

Artist: Benedikt Hummel (@ex_beeeeeeeeenedikt)

Titel: Box Cat
Sphere Cat
Donut Cat

In a cathartic journey that starts with a cute animal figurine, continues in creepy cruelty and ends in an even cuter figurine, Benedikt Hummel takes classic animal toys, cuts them up and gives them a new and better life (on your shelf).

With his weird animal series he creates sculptures that elevate the audience’s spirits by presenting well known felines and other creatures in an absurd and intriguing shape that is somehow through its abstraction even more relatable and weirdly familiar. Just like life.
